I bought these last week and they arrived a lot earlier than I expected them to. But when I opened them, they were not at all what they appeared to be. They're extremely bulky and uncomfortable. They look and feel like cardboard. The fringe is all over the place and they are just all around awful. I definitely regret purchasing them.

I ordered these boots to wear to the Renaissance Faire and thought they'd be a lot like the ones they sell at the Faire but these boots actually have a real solid sole to them. I was a little surprised as I thought they were authentic. The sole is very thick and not very flexible but I suspect this will give a bit more as it's broken in. The fact that it has a sole though is not an issue for me as it does offer extra protection to the feet. This is always a good thing and if the ground is wet you can still wear these without too much worry for the bottom. They do smell VERY strongly of rubber...kind of like a new tire or an auto body shop. This is not so great but again, I suspect this smell will fade as time goes by and they are broken in a bit. I haven't worn them out yet but just around the house for a few minutes and so far they seem pretty comfortable. This weekend will be the real test as I'll be breaking them in at Renn Fest!

I was an Indian for Halloween. Okay, there were no shoes in mens', so I ordered them in womans'. They arrived quickly and I enjoyed them for my costume. I only wore them once and loved them! They are tougher (more durable) than I expected. The sole is solid. I've seen someone wear them as an everyday shoe. I don't think I will, but the shoe is nice and stylish if you're into this type of shoe. It gets a 5 because it surprised me for being such a good sturdy shoe.
